Folks,
Just a refresher on our Feb. events. Feb. 23-24 will be 4th Reg.' Officer/ Nco
school at Bentonville. I would highly suggest attending if you are either or
wish to be. I would also suggest attending if you just want to learn the trade
of being a civil war soldier. Some of the best info I ever retained for my
impression was attending the NR schools in Gettysburg when I was a corporal.
Please let me know asap if you are attending. If you cannot attend the school,
but still wish to do something in Feb., you can do living history with the 27th
NCT at Ft. Anderson, Feb. 16-17. Once again, let me know if you wish to attend.
A heads up for March, Jeff and Lynn will be going to Manteo the first weekend if
any can join them. Our company event will be the Bentonville Hospital program/
candlelight tours March 15-16, I can tell you, you don't want to miss it. Also,
I got the actual date for Richlands, it will be May 3, but they will have 400
middle school students on site Friday if anyone can come and have anything to

Dues are Due:
Folks,
It's time for our annual dues. Here is a simple
breakdown:
Single Membership: $25
- This pays unit dues plus liability and accident insurance for one person.
Family Membership: $30
- This pays unit dues plus liability and accident insurance for two people in
the same household as long as only one person takes the field or handles a
weapon. Each person in a household (other than the head of household) that
takes the field must pay an additional $6 for their own liability insurance.
Also, each additional family member (in addition to the two basic family
members) must pay $3 for their own accident insurance. Girlfriends, boyfriend,
and live-ins cannot be counted as family members. Basically, if you can claim
someone on you income tax, you can claim them as a dependent.
I know this may be confusing. Please e-mail Bob Tolar with you family membership questions, and he will let you know what is due. All the addition money pays the additional insurance premiums. It is easier to work out the details before you pay. It is a hassel to keep up with how much additional each family must pay or is owed.

Friends,
Our first event for 2008 will be at Ft. Fisher on Jan.12. We
will be doing 3 demos for the public, I believe we will be joined by the
1st/11th and 27th NCT as well. We will be provided an evening meal, you may come
in Friday evening and camp, if not all military members need to be there and
registered by 9 am Saturday morning. I hope to see you all there, so we can get
08 off to a great start. Happy New Year, c.cole
